Gardaí in Cork are appealing for witnesses to a serious collision in Cobh in the early hours of this morning.

Gardaí in Cork are appealing for witnesses to a serious collision in Cobh in the early hours of this morning.

Just before 2am, a 21-year-old male pedestrian was struck by a car on the N25 Cork to Waterford dual carriageway.

The man was taken to hospital where his condition is described as serious, but stable.

Gardaí in Cobh would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or to any motorists who may have been at the scene at the time of collision.
