Gardaí in Co Offaly are appealing for information about the murder of a 64-year-old man in Edenderry at the weekend.

Gardaí in Co Offaly are appealing for information about the murder of a 64-year-old man in Edenderry at the weekend.

Thomas "Toddy" Dooley was found dead at his home in Sister Senan Court on Sunday, having suffered head and body injuries.

Gardaí are anxious to speak to anyone who may have seen anything unusual in the area, or who may have spoken to the victim between Thursday morning and Sunday afternoon.

Mr Dooley was on a disability pensions, and he is believed to have collected it on Friday morning.
