A man in his 90s is recovering after an aggravated burglary at his home in County Meath last night.

A man in his 90s is recovering after an aggravated burglary at his home in County Meath last night.

A four man gang entered his home at Danesrath, Balrath, at around 8.30pm.

The suspects - who are described as being in their 20s and of stocky build - were armed with spanners.

It is understood the elderly man was not physically injured during the incident.

Gardai in Navan are appealing for witnesses.
