Gardaí appeal for witnesses after fatal Roscommon crash

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after an elderly woman died in a crash in Co Roscommon.

The 83-year-old was seriously injured after the car she was driving hit a wall at Carrowphadeen in Lecarrow just before 5pm yesterday.

She was taken to Portiuncula Hospital, Ballinasloe where she was later pronounced dead.
