Gardaí appeal for information on man found dead in recycling truck

Gardaí in Dublin are appealing for the public's help in identifying the last movements of a Polish man who was found dead in a recycling truck.

The body of Heryk Piotrowski, who was 43, was found by staff at the refuse and recycling plant at Ballymount on Friday.

Gardaí believe that Mr Piotrowski was in the Dame Street area between 7pm and 10pm on Thursday 22 August.

He was also reportedly seen on the South Quays in the early hours of Friday morning.

The truck that he was found in had collected recycling bins from the city centre.

Gardaí have made contact with his family in Poland, and are now appealing to anyone with any information about his whereabouts before his death to come forward.
