Gardai in Limerick are renewing their appeal for information about a school bus crash in Caherconlish earlier this week.

Gardai in Limerick are renewing their appeal for information about a school bus crash in Caherconlish earlier this week.

The bus - which was bringing students to school - collided with a car at Connolly's Cross at around 8.30am on Wednesday.

It had picked some students up in Caherconlish village around 15 minutes earlier and had been travelling towards Hospital village on the R513.

The car involved was travelling from Mitchelstown.

36 people were treated in hospital following the crash.

In particular, Gardai they would like to speak to anyone who may have been near that stretch of road at the time to come forward.
