Gardaí in Carlow are appealing for the public's help in tracing a woman missing since the end of January.

Gardaí in Carlow are appealing for the public's help in tracing a woman missing since the end of January.

49-year-old Bernie Motley was last seen around 3.40pm on January 31 on Montgomery Street, close to the River Barrow in the town.

Gardaí are appealing to landowners, residents, walkers and others to search their lands, floodplains and culverts around the River Barrow in an effort to locate Bernie.

She is described as about five foot four inches tall with brown hair.
