Two men have been arrested in connection with a drug seizure in Co Louth yesterday evening.

Two men have been arrested in connection with a drug seizure in Co Louth yesterday evening.

€280,000 worth of cocaine was discovered when Gardaí stopped and searched two vehicles in Drogheda at around 7.30pm.

Two men aged 57 and 40 were detained and are being held at Drogheda Garda Station.

The PSNI were also involved in the operation.

A number of premises were also searched in Newry, Co Armagh and in Dublin.
