A Garda has received hospital treatment after attempting to rescue a man from a house fire in Dublin.

A Garda has received hospital treatment after attempting to rescue a man from a house fire in Dublin.

The incident happened on Walkinstown road in the capital.

The Garda and another man were taken from the house by firefighters.

Gardaí say the officer has been discharged from hospital, while the other man is still being treated at St James Hospital.
