Gardaí are investigating after shots were fired in Dublin last night.

Gardaí are investigating after shots were fired in Dublin last night.

Officers were called to the scene on Glencarrig Drive, Firhouse at around 10.20pm where they noticed damage to the window of a house.

They spotted a suspect device and a number of homes were evacuated.

However when the army bomb squad arrived on scene, they declared it a hoax device.
