Garda injured while transporting patient in Cork
A Garda has been treated in hospital after being hurt while on duty in Cork last night.
The sergeant was injured when he was transporting a patient in his 20's to the Mercy University Hospital at around 6.15pm.
The Garda, who is based at Gurranabraher Garda station, was also treated at the hospital.
He has since been discharged.
