Gardaí have made a further arrest in the investigation surrounding the death of a man in Finglas in Dublin at the weekend.

Gardaí have made a further arrest in the investigation surrounding the death of a man in Finglas in Dublin at the weekend.

The body of 29-year-old Vincent Maher was found in the bedroom of his apartment on the Wellmount Road in Finglas on Saturday morning.

Detectives have not released post mortem details, but it is understood Mr Maher suffered a violent death.

A man in his 20s was detained in the Finglas area yesterday evening, and is being held for questioning at the local garda station under section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.

He can be held for up to three days before being charged or released.
