In Sligo a man died after being struck by a vehicle as he cut a hedge on a roadside, while three others were injured in the incident.

In Down an elderly pedestrian lost his life after being struck by a lorry at Ballynahinch this morning.

And in Wicklow two people died in separate incidents at Kilmacanogue and Poulaphuca in the last 24 hours.
