Four baby boys are the first south east babies of 2011.

Four baby boys are the first south east babies of 2011.

The first baby in the region was born 35 minutes after midnight at St Luke's General in Kilkenny to Josephine Sheehan from Knockananna in Co Wicklow.

Thirty-seven-year-old Josephine and her partner David are delighted with their new arrival, Patrick George.

Meanwhile two boys were born at 3.17 and 4.09 in Waterford Regional Hospital.

And at 5.54 Susan Ryan from Kilkenny gave birth to baby Scott at St Luke’s in Kilkenny.
