The former Fianna Fáil TD, PJ Morley, has died, at the age of 81.

The former Fianna Fáil TD, PJ Morley, has died, at the age of 81.

A native of Claremorris, he served as a TD in Mayo for twenty years up to 1997 - and also served as a Senator for four years.

Party leader Micheál Martin has described Mr Morley as 'a wonderful colleague - a quiet and unassuming person but a very efficient TD'.

He is survived by his wife Mary, daughter Cathy and three sons Patrick, Enda and Brian.
