Former FG Deputies 'not forming new party'

A member of the 'Reform Alliance' of former Fine Gael TDs has denied the group is about to become a political party.

Billy Timmins says a new policy document being prepared by the group is not the first step towards breaking all ties with Fine Gael.

It was reported earlier that the group will file paperwork to become an official political party in the coming months, and would field candidates in the next General Election.

However, Deputy Timmins says the document is just a selection of good ideas which all political parties could be able to support.
