Food prices could rise by 45% if there is a no deal Brexit, retail group warn
There are fears that food prices could rise by 45% in the event of a no-deal Brexit.
The European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker admits he's "not very optimistic" about Britain's chances of getting one.
Retail groups are warning that food shortages could occur if the UK crashes out of the EU without a deal.
Verona Murphy, the President of the Irish Road Haulage Association, outlines her concerns:
"The two things that primarily worry me the most are flour and sugar, none of which Ireland produce.
"Flour is something we import on a daily basis and without it, we won't be seeing bread on our shelves, regardless of the transport," she added.
