Flanagan to run for European elections

Independent TD Luke 'Ming' Flanagan has announced he is standing in the European Elections.

The Leitrim/Roscommon Deputy will contest May's vote and hopes to become one of four MEPs from the Midlands-North-West constituency.

Deputy Flanagan says Europe has harmed Ireland's economy and we should leave the euro.

He says Ireland has gone too far with the "European project".
