Independent TD Luke 'Ming' Flanagan has claimed he and a Garda whistleblower were under surveillance this morning, as they raised new allegations of Garda corruption.
Luke 'Ming' Flanagan has claimed that he and John Wilson were being watched by officers in an unmarked Garda car near the Garda Ombudsman's headquarters today.
They were handing over what they say is evidence of corruption within the Garda National Drugs Unit.
Deputy Flanagan said he was under Garda surveillance himself as he went to GSOC to raise the allegations.
"It was a worrying ordeal for the garda in question to go to GSOC given his very understandable concern about confidentiality," he said.
"However, this worry was significantly increased this morning when it became obvious that we were under surveillance by an unmarked garda car while waiting in the now-infamous Insomnia café adjacent to the GSOC premises."
