Five dead on 'one of the worst weekends on Irish roads' in 2014
Five people have been killed on Irish roads throughout this weekend.
It brings to 92 the total number of fatalities so far this year.
The Road Safety Authority has described the last 48 hours as "One of the worst weekends on Irish roads this year".
Five people - four from the one extended family - have been killed in two separate collisions.
A ten-year old girl and three women died instantly when their car collided with a jeep in Co. Westmeath yesterday morning.
In Co Monaghan, a pensioner was killed at around midday yesterday following a crash there.
