Firefighters battle Louth blaze

A serious fire is being battled near the border in Co Louth this morning by eight units of the fire service.

The blaze is near Ravensdale Forest and Claremount.

Firefighters in a number of other counties around the country are continuing to fight gorse and forest fires.

The air corps and the army spent the weekend dealing with blazes in Offaly, Donegal, Mayo and Galway.

Meanwhile, police in the North are still questioning two teenagers in Omagh on suspicion of arson following a spate of gorse fires in the region.
