Fire brigade tackles three major fires in Dublin overnight

Gardaí are investigating the cause of three fires on the northside of Dublin last night.

Seven units of the Dublin fire brigade spent six hours damping down fires at a kitchen factory and a scrapyard in the Malahide Road Industrial Estate and at a number of abandoned buildings in nearby Darndale.

The fires took place between 9pm and just after 10pm last night

Nobody was injured and a forensic examination is to take place to establish if the fires were started maliciously.
