Shoppers in Ireland are making more of an effort to buy Irish, according to retail publication 'Checkout'.

Shoppers in Ireland are making more of an effort to buy Irish, according to retail publication 'Checkout'.

The magazine has just published this year's list of top 100 brands.

Domestic goods like Tayto, Cadbury Dairy Milk and Brennan's bread all showed upward movement in the top 10.

Glenisk yoghurt entered the top 100 for the first time, while cereal producer Flahavans jumped 20 places.

No change at the top though as Coca-cola is still the best-selling brand in Ireland for the sixth year in a row.
