A Fine Gael backbencher has admitted there is disquiet amongst members on the issue of Irish Water.
The Irish Independent reports that during a Fine Gael party meeting last night, members expressed their anger over customer complaints and the Irish Water bonus culture.
Marcella Corcoran Kennedy says the communication around the setting up of the utility could have been better, but the Taoiseach is dealing with the issue.
The Laois Offaly Deputy said TDs were hearing concerns from their constituents over water charges.
"Each of us in our constituencies are hearing different experiences of people across the country, and a lot of us feel the communication around Irish Water could have been better," she said.
"It's a brand-new utility and there's no point underestimating the challenge of setting up a new utility of the scale of Irish Water."
Meanwhile, the Tánaiste has admitted that members of her party are concerned at how Irish Water deals with complaints and customer care.
Joan Burton’s comments come after a Fine Gael parliamentary meeting last night which saw members express anger over how their constituents’ complaints were handled.

Joan Burton said some of her backbenchers were concerned and Irish Water had to address its communications problem.
"People are concered about two things. One is that when members of the public contact the Lo-Call number, they can end up waiting on the line quite a long time to get a response.
"Equally, political people who raise a query on behalf of a constituent would like to get a reasonable response (time)."
