Fianna Fáil says it will only be supporting one candidate in local elections in Blackrock in Dublin - and that it will not be Mary Hanafin.
The party is considering disciplinary action against the former Minister, saying she ignored orders not to run.
Ms Hanafin was given nomination papers last week, but defied three subsequent requests from Micheál Martin to withdraw, saying there had been no satisfactory reason given.
She was erecting election posters today, with Fianna Fáil branding, and continuing her campaign
Fianna Fáil spokesman on enterprise and jobs Dara Calleary said: "I wish (Mary Hanafin) well, but Kate Feeney is the official party candidate."
