The social network has been based in the capital since 2009 - and Sonia Anne Harris, the head of Facebook in Ireland, has posted on the site saying they are now moving to a "much bigger" premises in Grand Canal Square.

She said that when the new HQ opens, she believes Facebook will be able to "invite hundreds more talented people" to join the staff.
