Gardaí in Donegal have launched an investigation after an explosive device was thrown at a house in Muff last night.

Gardaí have launched an investigation after an explosive device was thrown at a house in Muff, Co Donegal last night.

The incident happened shortly after midnight at the Wheatfield estate in the town.

One man was in the house at the time, but was not injured.

The kitchen of the house was damaged.

The scene has been preserved for a technical examination.
