A report from the European Child Safety Alliance claims Ireland has the region's highest rate of suicide among young women.

Figures show there are 2.09 cases in every 100,000 deaths among females under the age of 19.

The studyalso says we have the second highest rate of suicides among boys and young men, at 5.12 cases per 100,000 deaths.
