Elderly man is seriously injured in Waterford road accident
An elderly man remains in a serious condition in hospital this morning after he was struck by a vehicle, while out walking in Waterford City yesterday.
The 81-year-old was hit by a 4x4 vehicle on the Cork Road at around 2.30pm.
He was rushed to Waterford Regional Hospital, where he is now said to be in a serious condition.
Gardaí in Waterford are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
