Elderly man dies in Monaghan farm accident

The Health and Safety Authority is investigating after a man died in a workplace accident in Monaghan yesterday.

The man in his 70s fell into a slurry pit on a farm near Threemilehouse shortly after 3pm.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
