Minister for Education Ruairi Quinn has expressed concerns about the Leaving Cert exam.
It follows a report in the Irish Independent which says the National Council for Curriculum Assessment has expressed concern about the way subjects are taught - saying there is too much focus on how to get points.
Minister Quinn says he is looking into the issue.
"We are concerned with the way in which the exams are occurring at the moment and it's one of the things that I'm proposing to make changes at the Leaving Certificate level, between the CAO forms and the State Examination Commission, and marking," he said.
