Economic recovery would be at risk if Government is changed says Kenny

Enda Kenny has again insisted that the economic recovery would be put at risk by a change of Government.

The Taoiseach was speaking as Fine Gael launched its full manifesto for the General Election.

The manifesto has said it would create 200,000 jobs over five years, and improve services in the likes of health and housing - as well as raising taxes on tobacco and sugary foods.

But despite disappointing performances in new opinion polls, Enda Kenny has said he is confident people will give him their support: “Who will provide stability?

“Do the people want certainty or uncertainty? Do they want progress or regression? Do they want prosperity or poverty?

“I believe deep down, that when they reflect on these issues, they will vote for the return of a stable Government to finish the job that they gave us five years ago.”
