Dubliners show of solidarity for Moore Street bakery

A large group of people turned out to show their support for staff of the Paris Bakery on Moore Street in Dublin today.

Around 150 people took part in a rally in a show of solidarity for the 70 people fighting to keep their jobs.

The site is set to be re-developed in June, meaning the bakery will have to close.

Ciaran Cuffe from the Green Party says they had a great turnout.

"We had a fantastic turnout, we had 150 people outside the Paris Bakery on Moore Street

"They were saying that they want to save the Paris Bakery on Moore Street.

They were saying that they want to save the 70 jobs in the Paris Bakery, they want to save Moore Street - that was a very clear message for Nama, for Joe O'Reilly and for Dublin City Council."
