House prices in the capital are more than one fifth more expensive than a year ago.

House prices in the capital are more than one fifth more expensive than a year ago.

The residential property price index shows that Dublin house prices rose by more than 4% last month and were 22% higher than a year ago.

Prices outside the capital are also rising, but much more slowly.

Residential properties rose by 0.6% in May, and are nearly 2% higher than a year ago.
