Dublin among the top 10 'liveable' cities in the world for Europeans

A report has put Dublin among the top 10 'liveable' cities in the world for Europeans.

Global consultants ECA International says the city offers superior living conditions for European expats due to improved infrastructure, personal safety and healthcare.

The survey of nearly 500 locations around the world, also returns a general opinion that expats feel safer in Dublin after dark than in many other cities.

The Lord Mayor of Dublin Nial Ring has welcomed the report saying he is not surprised.

He said: "It's telling us something that we knew but now it's letting everyone else know we are one of the best cities in the world to live in, to do business in, to work in and to actually just enjoy as a vibrant, beautiful city."
