'Devastated' mourners attend Mairead Moran's funeral
Hundreds of mourners attended the funeral Mass of Mairead Moran at St Eoghan's Church in Kilmoganny, Co Kilkenny today.
The 26-year-old was stabbed to death at her workplace in the Market Cross shopping centre last Thursday evening.
Locals attending the funeral have been shocked by Mairead's death.
Alyssia Carney, who is from the Kilmaganney area, told Beat 102-103: "It's a massive shock. We're usually watching (things like this) on the televsion, and then it came to our own village. We just couldn't believe it.
"We're devastated for her family - (her parents) Pete and Margo are the nicest people you could meet - and for her two sisters as well."
