Update 5:15pm: Part of the DART line in Dublin has re-opened following an incident near the tracks at Harmonstown.

Services between Clontarf Road and Howth Junction were suspended for a number of hours this afternoon.

Irish Rail says trains are now back running, but with delays.

Earlier (2:15pm): DART services affected after serious incident at Harmonstown

Dublin DART and Northern Commuter services have been suspended between Clontarf Road and Raheny due to what is being described as a tragic incident at Harmonstown.

Emergency services are at the scene and Irish Rail says services will remain suspended until 3pm at least.

Dublin Bus is accepting rail tickets and there are bus transfers between Connolly and Drogheda for Enterprise services.
