A cyclist was killed in a crash with a 4x4, gardaí said today.

A cyclist was killed in a crash with a 4x4, gardaí said today.

The accident happened at 4.20pm yesterday in Annaghvacky, Hackballscross, Dundalk, Co Louth.

A garda spokesman said: "A pedal cyclist in his 50s was fatally injured when he was in collision with a Mitsubishi 4x4 vehicle.

"The man was pronounced dead at the scene."

Gardaí are investigating.
