Cyclist dies in Kerry crash

A cyclist in his 50s died when he was hit by a car last night.

A cyclist in his 50s died when he was hit by a car last night.

The incident occurred at Ardfert, Co Kerry, at 10.50pm.

A Garda spokesman said: “The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was removed to Tralee General Hospital, where a post-mortem examination will take place.”

The road at the scene of the crash remained closed to traffic as crash investigators carried out an examination.
