Cutbacks see another drop in school counselling services

Teenage pupils are suffering from cutbacks in school counselling services introduced in September 2012.

Guidance counsellors are now spending only 41% of their time one-on-one with students.

According to the Irish Independent it is a further drop on last year's figure, which was 49%.

It comes as students prepare to fill in their CAO forms for college places.
