Residential property prices increased by almost 4% nationally in the year to March, according to the Central Statistics Office (CSO).

Residential property prices increased by almost 4% nationally in the year to March, according to the Central Statistics Office (CSO).

The CSO also found that the cost of homes outside of Dublin went up by 6.8% in the time period.

The Mid-West saw the largest growth at almost 12% while prices in the capital increased by an average of 1.2%.

Overall, the national index is almost 19% lower than its highest level in 2007.
