CSO figures show slight rise in house prices for November

Residential property prices fell by 5.7% in the year to November at a national level.

This compares with an annual rate of decline of 8.1% in October and a decline of 15.6% recorded in the 12 months to November 2011.

According to the CSO, prices did see a slight jump in November though, up 1.1% on the previous month.

In Dublin, residential property prices grew by 2.4% in November, but were 3.5% lower than a year ago.

At a national level, the price of residential properties in the rest of the country excluding Dublin grew by 0.3% in November compared with a decline of 1.6% in the same month last year.
