Couple esape uninjured after house shot at in North

A couple have escaped uninjured after a shot was fired through their living room window in the North.

The man and woman were in the house at Ferris Avenue in Larne at the time of the shooting, around 1am yesterday morning, the police service said.

Stewart Dickson, Alliance MLA for the area, said it was lucky nobody was injured.

“Guns have no place on our streets,” he said.

“There is absolutely no justification for this attack. Somebody could have been seriously hurt or worse.

“My thoughts are with the couple who were inside the house at the time. It must have been a terrifying experience.”

Detectives have appealed for anyone with information to get in contact.
