Country facing weather alerts heading into tonight
There are weather alerts in place for across the country tonight.
There s an orange wind warning for western counties, with gusts of up to 130 kms an hour in exposed coastal areas.
A yellow wind warning is in place for the rest of the country, with gusts of up to 110 kms an hour.
Finally, a snow and ice warning for Connacht, Leinster, Cavan/Monaghan and Donegal has been announced by Met Éireann.
Up to 3 centimetres of snow is forecast and larger accumulations possible on higher ground.
