Costello continues Mater hospital protest

Weekly protests outside the Mater hospital in Dublin continued this afternoon.

Weekly protests outside the Mater hospital in Dublin continued this afternoon.

Deputy leader of the Labour Party Joe Costello said he will continue to protest as long as conditions in the Mater remain the same.

Twenty-seven patients were on trolleys in the hospital this week, and recently announced bed closures mean the hospital could lose up to 80 beds.

Joe Costello says this is "unacceptable".
