The streets of Cork will be awash with colour today as it holds its annual Pride Parade.
Today marks the ninth time that marchers have flown the rainbow flag in the city.
A record 40,000 people turned out at Dublin Pride in June and big crowds are also expected to join today's festivities.
Grand Marshal this year is broadcaster and gay rights activist Dil Wickremasinghe.
Who'd have thought 14 years ago when I celebrated my 1st @DublinPride that I'd be the Grand Marshal of @corkpride #itgetsbetter #happypride
