A man has been airlifted to hospital from a fishing boat 140 nautical miles (260km) off the West Coast of Mayo.
The Air Corps was on a routine maritime patrol when it received a request from the Coast Guard to provide assistance for a medical evacuation of an injured fisherman.
Charlie 252 arrived at the scene shortly before 12pm today to provide "top cover" navigational and observational support to the Coast Guard.
Coast Guard helo S92 then performed an airlift, and took the fisherman to Sligo General Hospital.
The extent of his injuries are not yet known.
