Clinton to receive lifetime achievement award in Belfast

Hillary Clinton is to receive an award for lifetime achievement from The Worldwide Ireland Funds today.

The U-S Secretary of State is traveling to Belfast, as her visit to Ireland continues.

She spent yesterday in Dublin, where ministers from the OSCE region were meeting, and took the opportunity to reaffirm America's commitment to Ireland, insisting that continued US investment here proves her country's confidence in this country.

Today Clinton will attend a lunch being held in her honour at Belfast's iconic Titanic Signature Building.

During what is likely to be her last engagement on the island in her current role, she will be rewarded for her support of peace and reconciliation.
