An 81-year-old woman who led a boycott of Mass to highlight the Catholic Church's attitude to women last year is to run for election.

An 81-year-old woman who led a boycott of Mass to highlight the Catholic Church's attitude to women last year is to run for election.

In August Jennifer Sleeman urged women to boycott Mass for a day, attracting international attention.

She is to run on the Green Party ticket in the Cork South West constituency.
