The funeral of Christine Buckley will take place in Dublin today.

The campaigner died at the age of 67 on Tuesday, after a long illness.

She was a former resident of the Goldenbridge Institution and worked for more than 25 years on behalf of survivors of institutional abuse, setting up the Aislinn Centre in Dublin.

Her Funeral Mass takes place at 10am in the Church of St Thérèse, Mount Merrion followed by burial at Shanganagh Cemetery, Shankill.

Christine Buckley is survived by her husband Donal and children Darragh, Conor and Cliona.
